Through the 7 Habits, we give students the tools they need to be successful and at their highest potential in all areas of their life. By providing leadership opportunities for our students, we allow them to put into practice some of the skills that may not typically be put to use until much later in life. At Teravista, student leadership means that all classrooms include roles of accountability for all students in the class. These are commonly referred to as classroom jobs. Making us a stand out, however are our Advanced Leadership Positions in addition to traditional classroom roles. Advanced Leadership positions are opportunities for students to have more creative ownership and to reach outside of their classroom.
As a result of our students having a strong voice in our school community, we have experienced students initiating their own proposals for change and programs at our school, such as organizing efforts to benefit various causes.
