Fourth and Fifth grade students have the opportunity to take on an advanced leadership position by applying to be on the Broadcast Leadership team here at Teravista. There are a variety of positions available. Both on-screen and behind-the-scenes team members are needed. There are anchor positions, reporters, a director, assistant director, producers and technical engineer. Job descriptions are listed below.

Director
 – Runs the broadcast software, edits the script as needed and controls the speed of the teleprompter to match the anchors
Assistant Director – Helps create background changes on the computer for the script. Helps upload videos and slide shows to the broadcast. Fills in for the director when needed. This position is good for a student that can stay and work after school instead of before school.
Technical Engineer- Controls microphones and sound volume. Turns on the play out cart to begin/end broadcast. Controls the ‘green screen’ area and adjusts camera as need. Manages special guests.
Anchor – The “faces” of TVE News. Reads the main script for the morning announcements.
Feature Reporters – Responsible to independently research and write weekly news reports that will be presented on a designated day of the week.
Producers
 – Responsible for writing scripts and designing the layout of the broadcast daily.
