Safety Patrol Leaders
4th and 5th grade students have an opportunity to participate as Safety Patrol Leaders. This service is a very important lesson in safety, courtesy, volunteerism and responsibility. We strive to make it a positive experience for everyone involved.
Safety Patrol Leadership Responsibilities:
Students may be removed from Safety Patrol for not complying with any of the above requirements.
If you have no more than 2 unexcused absences during your assigned 3-4 week period you will be invited to a Safety Patrol party.

Safety Patrol Leadership Responsibilities:
- Exhibit leadership qualities and display appropriate behavior.
- Maintain passing grades.
- Exhibit good leadership qualities, including good citizenship.
- Receive parent / guardian approval and support.
- Receive approval of Safety Patrol director and classroom teacher.
- Stay committed to the assignment and safety rules.
- Be prompt and able to work daily (Morning: 7:10-7:40 and/or Afternoons 2:35-3:10).
- Communicate courteously and appropriately with students and adults.
- Report any perceived dangerous safety issues to the teacher on duty.
